Ballet & Violin Lessons
The River City Youth Ballet Ensemble and the West Virginia Youth Symphony will once again be holding lessons in violin and ballet for beginner students. “Last year was a huge success. I enjoyed every minute that I got to work with students from the area, and I’m excited about getting more people into the program,” says Ian Jessee, conductor for the West Virginia Youth Symphony. This year, the groups are planning on performing a short production for the Clendenin community in March 2019. This is all made possible through a grant from The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation. Beginners strings classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 4:30-5:30pm for first year students and from 5:30- 6:30pm for second year students. Ballet classes will be held on Wednesday evenings for students ages 4-12. Classes will start on October 16th and 17th and run through May. Registration will be held on Wednesday, September 26th from 4:00-5:30pm in Koontz Gym at 1107 Koontz Ave. For more information or to sign up, please contact either the River City Youth Ballet Ensemble (304-925-3262, [email protected]) or the West Virginia Youth Symphony ( 304 -957 -9888, [email protected]).
