Clendenin Bridge Renamed Thurman “Duwayne” Young Memorial Bridge to Honor His Service to Our Country

On May 31, 2019 a crowd gathered at the Rt. 4 Bridge in Clendenin with Delegate Dean Jeffries for the renaming/dedication for U.S. Army SPC Thurman “Duwayne” Young who served in Vietnam form 1969-1971. “Duwayne” Young lost his battle with cancer on August 17, 2011 at the young age of 62 with cancer due to the exposure o f Agent Orange. The bridge will carry U.S. Army SPC Thurman “Duwayne” Young name to honor him for his service to our country where he eventual gave his life for his country.
