Clendenin Local Legion Post 61 Flag Disposal

Flag Disposal Clendenin WV - Clendening WV News - West Virginia Clendenin NewsAs a revered symbol of freedom and justice, the flag of the United
States of America needs to be treated with the utmost respect. This
respect extends to the flag’s eventual retirement and destruction. The
United States Flag Code (4 USC Sec 8 Para (k) Amended 7 July
1976) states: “The Flag, when it is in such condition that it is no
longer a fitting emblem of display, should be destroyed in a dignified
way, preferably by burning.” There are steps to follow when the flag
is being burned and Clendenin Local Legion Post 61 disposes of it
properly. If you have flags that are tattered, torn, faded, or beyond
their glory, please allow the Clendenin Legion post to properly dispose of them. they have a drop off box located at the Butterworths
Park, across from the OLD Library, right before you get to the Post
Office in Clendenin.
