Editors Note – April 13th, 2018

Hello Readers,

*The last couple of weeks since my last issue has been crazy. We’ve had some heartbreaks along the way, but if life didn’t give you rough roads, you wouldn’t appreciate the smooth roads. **I have had an awesome visit from my cousin Janie from Texas and a friend Andrea. Despite the heartaches of last week, we have had a great visit with more laughter from cousins, mishaps from my wonderful “cheesy husband”, and more. My cousin Janie and I have always been close and kept in touch with visits to Texas from us, and visits to WV from them with another one scheduled this summer. We have reminisced and laughed until we are exhausted. Janie brought a friend with her, Andrea who has been just as enjoyable as her. We have more events planned for this week that will be fun, like the week has been so far. ***In my last issue I stated the harassment has slowed down from the older man in Clendenin that has been harassing us. It did slow down from the older man, but now his son has picked up where his dad stopped. We have been advised to get a “Peace Bond” against the harasser, but it be sad for the young man to have a record at an early age because he is doing what most young adults do, and that is learn from his elders. Not only is he harassing us, but neighbors are complaining about the noise late at night when he gets in front of our house and start revving up his old vehicle. He is waking up small children with this childish behavior as well as elderly people. Hopefully he will see this article and realize we are trying to reach out for him to stop this, if not us, and others will have to take appropriate actions. I think over a year of harassment and us turning the other cheek is ENOUGH! There will be consequences if this continues, and it’s time for the elder dad to teach his son right from wrong before he ends up with a police record that could change his life in the future. ****

We are supposed to have warm weather starting finally and we are going to sneak away to get some fishing in. Since last fall we have been acquiring different fishing lures and we are excited to try some of them out to see which one the Prize-Winning Lure might be!

Until the next issue…Keep Smiling!

Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the area, and surrounding areas, we have decided to prolong the Printing of The County Times until it is safer to distribute the papers in businesses. We were hoping to be back by now, but the risks are too high. Please stay safe and hopefully we will be back soon.
Thank you, Sug Sams
