Editor’s Note – August 9th, 2019

Hello Readers,

*This summer has been one of the busiest, most fun, and exciting ones we have had in years. We have traveled a lot, had family from Texas stay for a week with us, get to see our great niece get married, and still have a couple more trips to enjoy with our son. This is what life is about.

**We have been out of town a lot, but when we are home it is disturbing trying to enjoy sitting on our front deck on the weekends in the evening with the loud music coming from a councilman’s’ house/business in town. We live up on the hill, a couple miles from him and the music is so loud it keeps all the neighborhood dogs barking. I can imagine what the neighbors living close by endures. It’s nice to be able to sit outside in the evening and listen to nature, not someone else’s music. We were told there has been dozens of complaints called in against him, but for some reason it continues.

Dozens of residents have also asked me to bring the subject up to try to get help with the problem. This happens every weekend the weather is nice, so enough is enough. I think it is time the new Mayor steps up and put a stop to this nuisance. Hopefully by the next issue I can report the issue has been taken care of.

Until the next issue…Keep Smiling! Sug Sams

Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the area, and surrounding areas, we have decided to prolong the Printing of The County Times until it is safer to distribute the papers in businesses. We were hoping to be back by now, but the risks are too high. Please stay safe and hopefully we will be back soon.
Thank you, Sug Sams
