Editors Note – January 25th, 2019

Clendenin West Virginia News - West Virginia News - Small Town News Paper - Clendenin Mayoral RaceHello Readers,
*As many as you probably already know I skipped a week of printing. The Country Times was supposed to be in the stores the week of January 18th, but due to unforeseen illness I had to postpone it for a week. I’m sorry if this caused any inconveniences to my readers or customers. I realized that I’m not invincible like I thought I was, I realized when you can’t go no farther, you can’t go no farther. I am back to normal, as normal can be…ha, ha, ha! **I am proud of the citizens of Clendenin stepping up to the plate and to throw their hats in the ring for running for Town Council/ Mayor to show they want the best for the town they grew up, love, and still live in.

All the names of the candidates running for offices will be listed in my next issue. We all are excited to see what our options will be for the June election. ***I would like to thank everyone for sending me articles, ads, information, and supporting The Country Times. We will be celebrating 15-years in March and it’s hard to believe all these years has passed. During these years I have meant wonderful people and become friends with many. I have meant people who no longer grace us with their beauty, but in heaven they are smiling down on us.

I have learned to laugh and ignore some who can find bad in a rainbow, broaden my knowledge with stories I have done, and most of all enjoyed the last years knowing in some way I have touched many lives, even if it’s only a puzzle or scary story. Our paper has grown to be able to read it online over the years for those who can’t make it out to get one. To read online you can go online and in your browser and type in; https://thesunshinepaper.com and you can read the newest issue or go into the archives and read months of them. My advertisers get double coverage online and in the hard copies in the stores. I have said many times my loyal customers and readers is what make this paper a success. Thank you for the last 15 years and looking forward to many more in the future.

Until the next issue…Keep smiling! Sug Sams
