*Happy New Years! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! We had a great Christmas and New Year. Our family gathering didn’t work out as planned due to our daughter’s household coming down with the Norovirus, then our sons from Va. Beach coming down with it also, and WE chose to stay home until all were well! We still Facetimed and went to Princeton a few days later and planning on visiting our sons in Va. Beach sometime later this month. Danny outdid himself and spoiled me rotten for Christmas, like he always does.
**We took much needed breaks from the paper and the auction to rest up and to do cleaning and reorganizing at the auction. We have got a large load of new merchandise in for the auction and our bidders are in for a treat. If you would like to join the auction, go onto Sams Facebook Auction and ask to join. It’s FREE! We will be doing a lot of promotional fun activities and many will receive FREE items. Check us out! ***We delivered many gifts, coats/boots, food to many children’s homes and we hope it made their Christmas a bit brighter. So many donors made it possible for the kids.
Here is what we gave to kids and families for Christmas:
13 Giovannis Pizzas
35-$5 DG gift cards
3-dozen candy canes
Dozens of Toboggans, gloves, ear muffs, socks, and more.
All this was done by a “Village” of people pulling together to make it work for less fortunate families. Not only were the children happy, the parents were happy also. The parents were appreciative, and the kids had smiles and were so excited. Mr. and Mrs. Santa had to wear only Santa hats due to the heavy rains, but next year the suits will be back on. “It takes a Village to make a child smile!” *****The information I post in The Country Times are from records or facts. When an individual says otherwise it’s called “Defamation of Character” and that person put themselves and sometimes the people they work for in a situation to be sued! Before an individual makes accusations against the truth, they need to check out the facts, so they don’t end up with “Egg” on their face and much more…Until the next issue…
Keep Smiling! Sug Sams
