Editor’s Note – July 26th, 2019
*What a summer this has been. We are making up for the last three years of not being able to do much but work to get back on our feet from the flood. But we have put the flood behind us and moved forward like many have. We have been to Florida, Myrtle Beach, Sutton (Gerald Freeman) three different weeks, our daughters, and we still have a couple more weeks of traveling planned before we go back to work at the auction the end of September.
The saying that you need a vacation after your vacation is so true with us. Our motorhome is getting miles accumulated on it, but it beats hotel rooms and condos. After almost 70-years of combined working we are finally getting to enjoy life on the road! Highly recommend it to all!
**There was a meeting schedule on July 24th for Clendenin Businesses, and many didn’t receive the notice of the meeting and some of the ones who did couldn’t make it because of it being in the morning while they were working at their business. Maybe the next meeting will have more planning and an evening time to accommodate ones who can’t make it doing business hours…we hope. At least the Mayor tried, better than the last one. Hopefully she will keep up the efforts.
Until the next issue…Keep Smiling! Sug Sams
