Next Step Ministries Builds Much Needed Porch

Clendenin West Virginia News - Clendenin Flood - Volunteers in Clendenin - West Virginia NewsClendenin has been blessed with volunteers since the flood, but prior to the flood different churches and organizations have been coming into town and surrounding area to help with repairs to elderly and low-income residents. This June a group, The Next Step Ministries with the help of a church group from Midland, Michigan came to Clendenin to help a local resident, Stanley Mitchell, put a much-needed porch on the house he is renting.

The porch that is being replaced was rotten and dangerous to walk on. The church group main ages were teenagers
of 14 and up with adult chaperones. When teenagers give up part of their summer to help others you can say their parents are blessed to have such great kids and have done a great job with parenting! The group plan to have the main platform finished this week and the second group coming in next week will finish the project.

Thank You Volunteers!

Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the area, and surrounding areas, we have decided to prolong the Printing of The County Times until it is safer to distribute the papers in businesses. We were hoping to be back by now, but the risks are too high. Please stay safe and hopefully we will be back soon.
Thank you, Sug Sams
