Wildlife in Clendenin Area

Wildlife In Clendenin Area - Bears In Clendenin - Bear Article The Sunshine Paper

This photo was submitted by Mark Harding in the Queen Shoals/ Valley View Area by his wildlife cam and it shows a large Black Bear eating from a feeder near his residence. Another sighting in Clay County of two cubs crossing the road. There has been a lot of controversy over the danger of the bears and be clear that if you stay clear of the bears you are safe… I guess that’s true of most animals. They are beautiful animals, but very protective of their cubs, which means never approach a cub because the momma bear is somewhere close. Thanks Mark for the picture!

Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the area, and surrounding areas, we have decided to prolong the Printing of The County Times until it is safer to distribute the papers in businesses. We were hoping to be back by now, but the risks are too high. Please stay safe and hopefully we will be back soon.
Thank you, Sug Sams
